Pop superstar MILEY CYRUS has bounced back from a bad bout of laryngitis to return to the stage for back-to-back TV performances.
The singer/actress has been struggling to overcome the illness for the past few days and had to pull out of plans to film a segment for Australia's The X Factor in Los Angeles earlier this week (begs24Jun13).
However, she managed to resume her scheduling commitments on Tuesday (25Jun13) with a set on late night show Jimmy Kimmel Live! in Hollywood, before jumping on a plane to New York to sing on breakfast show Good Morning America on Wednesday (26Jun13), when she played her new single We Can't Stop and her duet with rapper will.i.am, Fall Down.
After completing Wednesday's early gig, Cyrus admitted she was relieved to have performed both TV shows without any issues, revealing she came close to canceling them.
She said, "This is the most nervous I've ever been actually for a performance because, one, I haven't slept, I've been up all night on a plane getting here, and, two, I've been really sick! I didn't even know if I was going to make it, so now that it's just done, it's kind of insane..."
And, during another interview on Live with Kelly and Michael, Cyrus revealed vocal rest and vitamins have helped to get her back in tip-top condition: "As a singer, it's the scariest thing in the world when you know there's nothing you can do if you're sick, you have no control, and I'm a control freak... so I was really stressed out because I was on vocal rest and then I woke up and I couldn't move my neck for some reason... It is the worst!
"I woke up feeling, like, 95... but I've had an amazing recovery. I got vitamins and all that. It's amazing when you start taking care of your body, how quick it'll get back (to normal)."
