Jamie Foxx: 'Annie character is sort of based on Combs'

Actor JAMIE FOXX has revealed he studied SEAN 'DIDDY' COMBS to perfect his moneybags character in movie musical ANNIE.

The Django Unchained star plays a modern-day version of the stageshow's Daddy Warbucks, named Benjamin Stacks, in the upcoming Annie movie, and admits he didn't have to look far to find some inspiration.

He says, "I'm a cellular phone mogul. I'm running through the streets of New York, I'm trying to be mayor. And, to be honest with you, I'm letting the cat out the bag just a little bit, I'm sort of mirroring Puffy (Combs) a little bit."

Annie, which stars Quvenzhane Wallis and Cameron Diaz, is set to hit theatres in 2014.

Warbucks was previously played on the big screen by Albert Finney.
