Chris Brown handed another 1,000 hours of community labour

CHRIS BROWN has been slapped with another 1,000 hours of community labour after a judge in Los Angeles reinstated his probation on Friday (16Aug13).

The solemn star didn't speak in court during the hearing, other than to agree to the terms of his new probation.

The singer will serve the remainder of his sentence removing graffiti and cleaning up highways and beaches. He must complete the 1,000 hours by 25 August, 2014 - the end of his probation period.

Brown's probation had been revoked last month after he was charged in an alleged May (13) hit-and-run traffic accident, which could have led to a probation violation and possible jail time. A prosecutor agreed to withdraw a request to rescind Brown's probation after the alleged hit-and-run charge was dismissed.

In 2009, the Kiss Kiss hitmaker was sentenced to five years' probation, 180 days of community labour and domestic violence counselling for assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna on the eve of the Grammy Awards.
