NEW YORK - It's a gingerbread record. GingerBread Lane is a 300-square-foot village made entirely of gingerbread, icing and candy, on display at the New York Hall of Science.
It's the largest gingerbread village, according to Guinness World Records.
The one and a-half ton village has 160 gingerbread houses, candy trees, gingerbread cable cars and trains, and even an ice skating rink.
Chef Jon Lovitch developed the project. He plans to give away the gingerbread houses when the exhibit closes Jan. 12.
