SAN DIEGO -- A fiddle-playing San Diego woman has won the Miss California title and will now vie for the national crown in the Miss America Pageant.Dustin-Leigh Konzelman, 23, beat 53 other contestants to win the crown Saturday night in Fresno.
Konzelman is studying speech communication at California Baptist University in Riverside. She wants to become a marriage and family therapist.Konzelman says she prayed that God would direct the outcome.Miss Pacific Coast Sheri Gorin finished second in last night's competition in Fresno.Fifty-four contestants competed this year, a record for the Miss California Pageant, which has been held in Fresno since 1994.
