Listen up!Class is in session. It's like the day after Christmas at the Professor's house. "WrestleMania" is over and we're 12 months away from the 'rasslin extravaganza of the year. As for my picks and exactly what happened, let's go:Challenge Match: Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio
What Should Happen: Last year, McMahon honored Eddie's hard work with a "WrestleMania 20" win. This year, it should be Rey's turn.
What Will Happen: Rey Mysterio gets the clean pin to win. What Did Happen: Rey Mysterio gets the clean pin to win. Eddie looked puzzled afterwards. This isn't over.
'Money-In-The-Bank' Ladder Match: Shelton Benjamin vs. Edge vs. Christian vs. Chris Jericho vs. Chris Benoit vs. Kane
What Should Happen: If you analyze this lineup, only one person hasn't had a serious shot at a major singles title. That's who I'd push forward. Plus, it would drive his former tag-team partner even more nuts. What Will Happen: I'm going out on a limb here, but that's why I'm me and you're you. Christian wins.
What Did Happen: Christian was in the running, but Edge takes the match after hitting Benoit with a nifty chair shot. He then climbed the ladder and grabbed the suitcase for the victory.
Challenge Match: Randy Orton vs. Undertaker
What Should Happen: This match might steal the show. Both men have the ability to put on entertaining matches when motivated. I can't think of a better time. If I were running the promotion, Cowboy Bob Orton would try to help his kid win -- and fail. Undertaker would keep his streak alive. Why not? What Will Happen: I have the sneaking suspicion WWE needs Orton to win to get fans interested in him again. He's really been kind of flat since leaving Evolution and turning babyface. Here, Orton wins with an RKO. Taker falls to 12-1 in the signature show. What Did Happen: Taker wins with the tombstone piledriver. Cowboy Bob tried to help his kid win -- and failed. Undertaker goes 13-0 in the big show.
WWE Women's Championship match: Trish Stratus vs. Christy Hemme
What Should Happen: This is probably the only match on the card that's a slam dunk no-brainer. Lita interferes on Hemme's behalf and the current Playboy model wins the title. What Will Happen: Hemme wins with help from her teacher, Lita. What Did Happen: Trish pins Hemme cleanly to retain her belt.
Challenge Match: Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels
What Should Happen: Angle should win this outright. He needs a big win on a big stage. It seems like he's been in the background too much lately. If I were in charge, he'd win and go on another title run on either "Raw" or "Smackdown!"What Will Happen: Angle will win. Look for interference from Marty Janetty, who just might turn on his old partner, HBK.What Did Happen: Angle wins with the ankle-lock. Hands down, this was the best match of the night.
Sumo Wrestling Match: Big Show vs. Akebono
What Should Happen: You have to hand it to Vince McMahon. He came up with a creative way to use Big Show in the big show. The match should highlight the sumo game, with Akebono as a friendly ambassador. But when it's all over, smart booking would have Show win this match. He has to have something to talk about after "WrestleMania" other than just another loss. What Will Happen: Big Show beats Akebono at his own game. What Did Happen: Akebono tosses a black-diapered Big Show out of the sacred circle, and onto his rather large backside.
WWE Championship match: John Bradshaw Layfield vs. John Cena
What Should Happen: If I were running things, JBL would retain the title at least until "SummerSlam!" There's nothing wrong with a long heel title run, and JBL has done a stellar job with his character in the past year. Let's face it. JBL is the wrestler who defied all logic and reason and became a better Million Dollar Man than the Million Dollar Man.What Will Happen: JBL wins via outside interference, but not necessarily by his own cabinet. I suspect Carlito Cool may be a factor. And that would be cool. What Did Happen: John Cena wins cleanly with an FU. The kid from the stands is your new WWE champ.
World Heavyweight Championship match: Hunter Hearst Helmsley vs. Dave Batista
What Should Happen: I know that Batista is getting the super push, but is it so wrong that he lose here and win the title later in the year? That's how I would book it.What Will Happen: Batista wins, likely overcoming Flair, a sledgehammer and other HHH tricks. What Did Happen: Batista wins, overcoming Flair and pinning HHH. The Game bled heavily, treating the worldwide audience to a fantastic crimson mask. The owner's son-in-law walks to the back a bloody mess. The Beast is unleashed. Batista is your new World Heavyweight Champion.
The 'WrestleMania 21' Contest
As for my picks: three right, five wrong. Terrible for a man of my vast knowledge. I suspect WWE owner Vince McMahon read this column, and changed a few outcomes just to make me look bad in front of my students. It's that simple. That's what happened. As for your picks and our "WrestleMania 21" contest -- a winner will be named in this spot on Friday. Again, thanks for entering! That's it.Class dismissed!(Professor Wrestling is a masked employee of Internet Broadcasting Systems. In 1985, he filled in for Mean Gene Okerlund to serve as a ring announcer at a WWE show in Duluth, Minn. At one point, he stared down Hercules Henandez -- and then got out of the ring, thankful that he wasn't crippled on the spot. True story.)
