Rosie O'Donnell Suggests That Larry King Retire

Feud Reignites After King Makes Fun Of O'Donnell's Pal Drescher

POSTED: 7:52 am PST March 3, 2008

Former television talker Rosie O'Donnell is targeting Larry King again, suggesting on her Web site that the longtime CNN host should retire.

According to the New York Post, O'Donnell posted a poll on her site under the headline "It's Getting Tough 2 Watch" after King apparently made fun of O'Donnell's friend, Fran Drescher, on the show Friday.

O'Donnell's feud with King dates back to May, following her falling out with the talk show "The View." At the time of the flap, O'Donnell wrote of the 74-year-old talk show host on her blog, "Stick a fork in him -- Larry is done."

Drescher, who was appearing on "Larry King Live" as part of a celebrity panel discussing politics, seemingly annoyed King when she started making a pitch for Democratic presidential hopeful, Sen. Hilary Rodham Clinton, in Spanish. After that, the Post reported, King made fun of Drescher's attempt at speaking the language.

According to O'Donnell's site, more than 8,400 votes were recorded in the poll -- to which 88 percent answered "yes" to the question that King should retire soon.

O'Donnell and Drescher -- the former star of the hit sitcom "The Nanny" -- are reportedly working on producing a new television show together, the Post said.
