The Kentucky State Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate Program, sometimes referred to as Cash for Appliances, is closed but a waiting list is available.
Under the program, which began April 22 and wrapped up May 24, Kentucky residents who bought an eligible Energy Star replacement appliance from a Kentucky retailer were eligible for a rebate. Kentucky offered rebates on 17 qualified appliances:

- Central air conditioners - $100 - Eligible Models
- Air source heat pumps - $400 - Eligible Models
- Geothermal heat pumps - $400 - Eligible Models
- Gas furnaces - $300 - Eligible Models
- Gas boilers - $200 - Eligible Models
Water heaters:
- Gas condensing water heaters - $200 - Eligible Models
- Electric heat pump water heaters - $400 - Eligible Models
- Hi-efficiency gas storage water heaters (EF>=0.62) - $50 - Eligible Models
- Hi-performance gas storage water heater (EF>=0.67) - $100 - Eligible Models
- Gas tankless water heater - $300 - Eligible Models
- Solar water heaters (electric back up) - $400 - Eligible Models
