28,570 Pounds Of E-Waste Collected

SAN DIEGO -- One Jan. 13, 10News had its first big Come Clean event of the new year.It gave you a safe and easy way to get rid of your old computers, cellphones, TVs and other electronics (working or not).The California Toxic Substance Control Department worked with 10News to collect the e-waste.
About 28,600 pounds of e-waste was collected from 517 donors.Goodwill Industries is still accepting donations. It does not, however, accept household hazardous waste such as paint, light bulbs and batteries.
