Born, raised and educated in San Diego, Christian is a proud product of what San Diego is all about.Christian attended Chula Vista High School and is a Telemedia alumnus from Southwestern Community College.
In May 2006, Christian earned a bachelor's degree in Teledramatic Arts and Technology from California State University, Monterey Bay, where he studied film and broadcasting.Christian broke into the broadcasting industry as an intern for XEWT Channel 12 in 2003.After a year of television-administration experience, he worked at KSMS Univision Monterey and also KBNT Univision San Diego.In 2006, Christian received the first award in his career for "Best Photography" from La Pluma Award. Christian received his first Emmy nomination in 2007, from the National Academy of Television Arts and Science (NATAS) and won under the category of "Investigative News Story." Recently, he received an award by the Society of Professional Journalists.
