POSTED: 7:10 pm PDT October 24, 2009

(Sports Network) - Levi Brown threw for 469 yards and a score as the Troy Trojans posted a 50-26 win over the North Texas Mean Green in Sun Belt Conference action at Movie Gallery Veterans Stadium.

Brown converted 27-of-44 passes for the Trojans (5-2, 4-0 SBC) as they remained undefeated in conference play. DuJuan Harris chipped in with 12 carries for 66 yards and two scores on the ground as well.

North Texas (1-6, 0-4), a loser in six straight since opening the season with a 20-10 triumph over Ball State on the road, was paced by Nathan Tune who converted 22-of-33 passes for 267 yards and two scores. Lance Dunbar contributed a game-high 111 yards and two TDs on 14 carries as well.

The Trojans ripped off 17 straight points to open the game and never looked back, beginning with touchdown runs of one and three yards by Harris, followed by a 30-yard field goal by Michael Taylor.

North Texas interrupted the run with a Dunbar three-yard touchdown run to make the score 17-7. From there, Troy went on a 24-point run to put the game out of reach.

Maurice Greer accounted for a one-yard TD run for the Trojans at the 5:20 mark of the second quarter, Brown hit Tebiarus Gill with a 20-yard TD strike and then Taylor converted a 38-yard field goal as time expired in the first half, leaving the Trojans with a commanding 34-7 lead at the break.

Brown's six-yard TD run to begin the third quarter added to the onslaught, as did the Eugene Kinlaw safety and a two-yard TD run by Shawn Southward. But prior to the safety, UNT's Dunbar posted a 60-yard touchdown reception from Tune, making the score 50-13 heading into the final period.

The Mean Green came up with two more touchdowns in the last quarter, the first on a 69-yard run by Dunbar, the other a seven-yard catch by Michael Outlaw and, with a failed PAT following the first TD, North Texas was left to face a 24-point road loss.

Troy, which entered the week ranked first in the conference in total offense with 420.2 ypg, generated a whopping 697 yards as the team ran an astounding 94 plays, compared to just 59 snaps for the Mean Green.
