POSTED: 10:57 pm PDT March 8, 2009

(Sports Network) - Austin Daye scored a career-best 28 points, as 14th-ranked Gonzaga blew out Santa Clara, 94-59, to advance to the title game of the West Coast Conference Tournament.

Micah Downs added 18 points and Jeremy Pargo scored 16 for the top-seeded Bulldogs (25-5), who have won seven straight against Santa Clara and 20 of the last 21 in the series.

Matt Bouldin filled the stat sheet with 11 points, eight boards and seven assists, while Steven Gray scored 12 for the Bulldogs.

Gonzaga tore through the regular season, going a perfect 14-0 in the WCC en route to its ninth straight title and 11th in the last 12 years. Now the Bulldogs are one win away from recapturing the postseason tournament title. Gonzaga, which has won the WCC tourney nine times, was beaten by San Diego in the final last year.

The Bulldogs, who are riding an eight-game winning streak, will face Saint Mary's in Monday's championship game.

James Rahon scored 20 for the fourth-seeded Broncos (16-17), who last won the conference tournament title in 1993. John Bryant had 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Kevin Foster scored 17 in defeat.

Gonzaga used a 9-2 run to open a 25-16 lead with 8:20 left in the first half. Santa Clara stayed within striking distance, but the Bulldogs blew it open late in the half with 13 unanswered points. Daye's jumper capped the flurry for a 48-26 margin inside of a minute left.

Ahead 48-27 at the break, Gonzaga continued to pull away over the final 20 minutes. Daye's jumper at the midway point provided a 69-39 lead and it was pushed to a 40-point spread nearly five minutes later as Bouldin's three-ball moved the cushion to 87-47.
