Las Vegas, NV -- (Sports Network) - Oscar Bellfield poured in a career-high 22 points to lead the UNLV Runnin' Rebels to an 88-75 victory over the Nevada Wolf Pack in non-conference action.

Justin Hawkins added 13 points for UNLV (2-0).

Brandon Fields posted 22 points in defeat for Nevada (1-1), which got 16 points from Armon Johnson. Luke Babbitt tallied 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Wolf Pack.

Nevada led 38-33 at intermission after limiting UNLV to 36 percent shooting from the floor in the first half.

The Wolf Pack led by a 54-42 margin early in the second half, but a 23-4 run enabled the Runnin' Rebels to gain control of the contest and cruise to victory.

A key to the win for UNLV was that it only committed seven turnovers, eight fewer than Nevada.
