The Golden Eagles continued to stretch their lead throughout the second half. A 14-4 run ending on a tip-in from Patrick Hazel put Marquette up 56-34 with 11:11 remaining, then one-of-two from the line by James boosted the home team to a 27-point edge with 5:36 to go before easing up on the throttle and cruising to victory.
