POSTED: 4:07 pm PST November 18, 2008

(Sports Network) - Curtis Jerrells logged a game-high 20 points and eight assists as the Baylor Bears crushed the Centenary Gentlemen, 90-55, at the Ferrell Center.

LaceDarius Dunn netted 18 and hit four three-pointers for the Bears (2-0), who started the season with a convincing 108-50 victory over Paul Quinn Saturday.

Quincy Acy scored 15 and Henry Dugat 14 in the win with Baylor dominating the paint with 36 points to Centenary's 16.

Chase Adams led the way with 12 points and four assists for the Gents (0-2), who dropped their season opener to Mississippi State, 77-55, on Saturday.

Baylor jumped to a 31-10 lead out of the gate and maintained a healthy advantage at the break, 42-20, behind 61.5 percent first-half shooting. Dunn accounted for 15 points in the half while Jerrells contributed nine points and five assists.

Dunn opened the second half with a three that was answered on the other end by Adams' triple.

However, Baylor set the tempo with a 21-10 run prompting the Gents to excuse themselves for a timeout down 66-33 in a contest that was never really in doubt.

A three-ball from Curtis made it a 71-38 game with nine minutes remaining and the Gentlemen went down without a fight from there.
