New to "The Twilight Saga" fan experience, actor Jamie Campbell Bower has discovered that being the Volturi vampire, Caius, in "New Moon" is hardly a pain in the neck.

That's because Bower and "New Moon" co-stars like Edi Gathegi (the vampire Laurent) have been getting the rock star treatment on the film's recent mall tour across the U.S., which has brought them to 16 cities overall -- from Seattle, San Francisco, Phoenix and Houston, to Denver, Minneapolis, Atlanta and Miami. The tour wraps up Thursday in New York.

Gathegi, who joined Bower for part of the mall tour, said there was no way to prepare his co-star for the thousands of screaming fans he was about to encounter.

"I think this is something you just have to experience on your own," Gathegi said in a recent @ The Movies interview. "I can describe to you what it's like and maybe you'll get a sense of it, but it's a whole different ball game when you're there and the fans of the franchise are out there very enthusiastically screaming their heads off."

Bower said he got a sense of the dedication of the novel-turned-movie franchise's fan base doing research for his role and immediately developed a respect for it.

"It's great that so many so many people have such a dedication to a piece of literature and to a piece of cinema, which is phenomenal," Bower said. "I was never as much into anything as kids are into this."
