Rielle Creighton joined the 10 News team as an anchor and reporter in October, 2013. Before landing in San Diego she worked as a weekend anchor and reporter for CBS 58 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While in Milwaukee, she covered big stories, such as the Wisconsin Governor's recall election and anchored coverage of the tragic Sikh Temple Shooting which killed nine innocent people.
Her experience in journalism includes work at WPMI in Mobile, Alabama during the BP oil spill that washed ashore on gulf coast beaches. Rielle says she can't believe her luck to be working in beautiful San Diego. "I've never lived somewhere that the weather was this perfect," she says with a smile.
A native of Omaha, Nebraska, Rielle grew up watching her mother on television, as an anchor and reporter for an Omaha television station. It's why she likes to say news is "in her blood."
Rielle lives in San Diego with her husband Jon, a rescue swimmer for the United States Coast Guard.
You can catch Rielle anchoring the weekend newscasts at 5,6 & 11pm.
