Dana Rice

Dana Rice joined the 10News team as a reporter in December 2012.  She is thrilled to be back in her hometown after spending many years away.

Dana graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.  Her love of broadcast journalism began when Dana worked as a reporter and anchor at Penn's student-run television station.  Dana also spent time at ABC News, working as a production assistant in New York City.

Her reporting career took Dana from WPBN-TV in Traverse City, Mich., to WRCB-TV in Chattanooga, Tenn., and then to WFTV in Orlando, Fla.  She most recently spent several years reporting at the ABC affiliate, WSOC-TV, in Charlotte, N.C.

Dana has reported on every weather phenomenon from blizzards to hurricanes and has also covered high-profile court cases, and has interviewed governors in three different states.  She has been alongside detectives working undercover as they bust drug labs, and Dana reported live for the network from a deadly bus hijacking after 9/11.

Dana enjoys connecting with viewers.  You may contact her at Dana.Rice@10News.com, or follow her on Twitter:
