You can find Dan Haggerty in the 10News Live Center each weekday evening at 5 p.m., and reporting live from around the San Diego area at 11.

Dan is happy to call San Diego home and to be part of a great team of journalists. He started his career as a photographer in Steubenville, Ohio at WTOV, before moving in front of the camera as a reporter at WNCN in Raleigh, North Carolina; WBBH in Fort Myers, Florida; and WEWS in Cleveland, Ohio.

In Cleveland, Dan covered many stories; among the most notable was the serial killer Anthony Sowell story, where he spent a week reporting live for CNN Headline News and the Nancy Grace Show from outside of Sowell’s home. Inside the home authorities discovered the bodies of eleven women. He also covered LeBron James’ “Decision” to take his talents to South Beach and filed several reports for ESPN’s Sports Center. And, when fifty-six exotic animals escaped from a private owner’s home in the Ohio town of Zanesville, Dan was one of the first reporters on scene and reported for stations across the country & the BBC overseas. He filed live reports while law enforcement searched for and eventually killed eighteen tigers, six black bears, two grizzlies, two wolves, one macaque monkey, one baboon, three mountain lions, nine male lions, and eight lionesses. Dan has developed a passion for politics after covering races in Florida and Ohio, two of the country’s most coveted swing states.

Dan lives a block from the ocean in San Diego and is enjoying the proximity to the beach, he says it is a nice change after spending four winters in Cleveland.
