10News is pleased to announce our website redesign. It’s all part of our commitment to being the best news source in San Diego.
Immediately you will notice 10News.com.com is cleaner and better organized. The new home page will better feature the stories that are most important to you and most popular in our community -- and we've switched from Flash to HTML5, so you can view our site on your Apple device.
When you visit the improved version of 10News.com, you’ll probably notice first that our navigation is moving from the left side of the page to the top. The two lines of navigation options will offer you faster access to the categories of content that matter most to you.
10News.com’s weather offerings will also be improved. A module on the home page will offer an overview of the current conditions and an improved weather page will collect all the forecast information you need to plan your day or week.
If you’re interested in video, our redesign will incorporate higher-quality clips than ever before. Every story, raw interview and live stream will be improved.
The new video players will also include sharing features. Therefore, anything you like on 10News.com can now be shared via Facebook, Twitter or email.
We’re also increasing social integration with Facebook. When the new version of 10News.com launches, the forums below each story will be connected with Facebook. This will help foster a fruitful, positive discussion amongst real San Diegans.
In addition to the new look, the engine of 10News.com is also being upgraded. Our producers will be able to update stories and videos more rapidly, to make sure all San Diegans know everything going on around them.
Throughout all the changes, our commitment to award-winning local news content will stand unchanged. In fact, we’re increasing the size of our dedicated team.
If you have any feedback before or after the new design launches, do not hesitate to let us know. We will review suggestions and comments sent to kgtv_web@10news.com.
